Guardians of Solaria: Privacy Policy
In short
- Your game progress is saved on your device. When you sign in with Google, a copy is also kept in Unity Cloud Save so it follows your Google account to another phone; it is deleted with your account.
- Online features (co-op rooms, news notices, purchases) use Unity Gaming Services and Google Play. They work with an anonymous player id, not your name or contact details.
- On Android you are signed in with Google Play Games so your player follows you to another phone; we receive a Play Games player id, never your email or password.
- Party chat reaches only the players in your co-op room; we do not store it.
- Friends: your friends list, friend requests, your online status (what you are doing in the game, and a room code your friends can join) and room invites are handled by Unity Friends and shown only to your friends.
- Anonymous play data (optional, off until you say yes): if you agree, the game sends anonymous play statistics (which dungeons you play, how runs go) to Unity Analytics. You can turn it off anytime in Settings › Share play data, which also asks Unity to delete what was sent.
- No ads, no advertising id, no sale of data.
- Questions or deletion requests: solaria.guardians.support@gmail.com
Who is responsible
The game is developed and published by Chaker KHACHLEK, an individual developer based in France, who is the data controller for the data described here. Contact: solaria.guardians.support@gmail.com.
Data stored on your device
Your progress (Guardians, levels, items, gold, chests, pets, wings and other cosmetics, your display name and profile icon, read notices, settings) is saved in a file on your device. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes it. If you play as a guest it stays only there. If you sign in with Google, the same file and a short summary of it (selected Guardian, level, play time, dungeons cleared, gold, display name) are also stored in Unity Cloud Save under your Unity player id.
Data used by the online features
| Feature | What is used | Who processes it | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in (at start-up) | On Android: your Google Play Games player id and a one-time sign-in code from Google, linked to a Unity player id. Without Google Play Games: an anonymous player id for your installation | Google (Google Play Games Services), Unity Technologies (Unity Authentication) | To keep the same player on any phone and to use the online features |
| Cloud save (Google sign-in only) | Your progress file and its short summary, stored under your Unity player id and updated while you play. Guests are never uploaded | Unity Technologies (Cloud Save) | So your progress follows your Google account to any phone |
| Friends list (optional) | The players you add, your friend requests and blocks, your online status and activity shown to your friends (online / in town / in a co-op room with its code and free places / in a dungeon, your Guardian and the dungeon), and the room invites you send or receive (room code, your display name, Guardian, dungeon). You can remove or block a friend at any time | Unity Technologies (Friends) | To find friends by their name, see who is playing and invite them to your room |
| Party chat (co-op rooms only) | The messages you send and your display name, passed to the players in your room while you play. Messages are filtered for blocked words, rate-limited, and are not stored by us. You can mute a player and report a message (the report opens an email to us that you choose to send) | Unity Technologies (Relay) | To talk with your party |
| Display name | The name you choose in the game, with a short tag that keeps it unique | Unity Technologies (player names) | So other players in your room see your name |
| Online co-op rooms | Your IP address (to route the connection) and game messages; other players in your room see your display name, profile icon, Guardian, its level, pet, wings and equipment | Unity Technologies (Lobby, Relay) | To play together |
| News notices | The anonymous player id, the game version and the device platform, sent when the game asks for the latest notices | Unity Technologies (Remote Config) | To show news and rewards without an app update |
| Play statistics (only if you say Yes; off by default) | Anonymous game events: the game version, the dungeons you start and how each run ends (victory / defeat / left, stars, time, deaths, kills, rooms), Guardian levels, Guardian / pet / wings chosen, co-op rooms created or joined, the number of friends when you accept one, gifts claimed, gold shop and pack purchases (product ids, no payment data). Unity adds an anonymous analytics user id, a session id, the device model, operating system, country (from the IP address, which is not stored) and the app version. Never your name, display name, friends, chat or contacts | Unity Technologies (Unity Analytics) | To see which dungeons are too hard or too long and improve the game (your consent) |
| Purchases (supporter packs) | Payment is handled entirely by Google Play: we never see your card or bank details. The game receives a purchase confirmation (product and order). Unity In-App Purchasing processes purchase data, purchase history, device and app diagnostics, crash logs, device identifiers and, temporarily, approximate location and email address, to complete and check purchases | Google (Google Play Billing), Unity Technologies (Unity IAP) | To sell and deliver the packs, restore them on a new installation, and prevent fraud |

What we do not do
- No advertising and no advertising id.
- No sale or rental of personal data.
- No access to your contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera or precise location.
- No public chat: rooms are joined only with a code you share yourself (or that your friends see when you are in a room), and chat reaches only that room.
Legal bases (GDPR)
- Performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): running the online features you use and delivering the packs you buy.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): the anonymous play statistics, only after you choose "Yes, share". You can withdraw it at any time in Settings › Share play data; withdrawing stops the collection and asks Unity to delete the statistics already sent.
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)): keeping the online services secure, preventing purchase fraud and fixing crashes.
- Legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)): keeping purchase records as tax and consumer law require (held by Google Play).
Transfers outside the European Union
Unity Technologies and Google may process data in the United States and other countries. They rely on the safeguards the GDPR allows, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
How long data is kept
- Data on your device: until you uninstall the game or clear its data.
- The player id, its Google Play Games link and display name at Unity: until you delete your account (Settings › Delete account) or ask us to.
- Friends list, requests, blocks and status at Unity Friends: until you remove them, delete your account or ask us to; invites are not kept by the game after 5 minutes.
- Cloud save (players signed in with Google): until you delete your account. Settings › Delete account first deletes your saved progress from Unity Cloud Save, then your Unity player; the progress on your phone stays until you uninstall the game.
- Play statistics (only with your consent): raw events are kept by Unity for about 13 months and then deleted; the summary figures and the anonymous analytics profile stay until you turn Share play data off (which requests their deletion) or ask us to delete them.
- Purchase records: kept by Google Play for as long as the law requires.
- Support emails: as long as needed to answer you, and at most 2 years.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to solaria.guardians.support@gmail.com; to find your online data, include your display name with its tag (shown on your player card). We answer within one month. You can also complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. In France, players under 15 should use the online features with the agreement of a parent. If you believe a child has used them without it, write to us and we will delete the related data.
Display names
Display names are checked against a list of blocked words. To report an offensive name, write to us with the name and the time you saw it.
Changes
We will update this page when the game's data practices change, for example if cloud save or Google sign-in is added. The date at the top shows the latest version.
